I am looking for a GC-MS lab that I could use for my Analytical Chemistry class. Any ideas?

@Amanda, there seems to be a verb missing somewhere in you question. You're looking for a GC-MS lab that _ for your class? Feel free to edit you question to make it more specific. – Rich Apodaca Jan 5 at 19:53
Thanks! I need to find a lab that I can have my students do using GC-MS – Amanda Jan 8 at 0:32
@Amanda, another idea to help readers help you better - provide some background. For example, describe the quantity and type of equipment you have available, the level of your class, and any constraints you might be under. You might also offer one or two examples of labs you've already tried and what you liked/disliked about it/each. – Rich Apodaca Jan 9 at 15:39

The Journal of Chemical Education is a good place to look for undergrad experiments. I haven't tried it, but I colleague shared this one with me recently:

"A New GC-MS Experiment for the Undergraduate Instrumental Analysis Laboratory in Environmental Chemistry: Methyl-t-butyl Ether and Benzene in Gasoline"

J. Chem. Educ., 1998, 75 (12), p 1595 DOI: 10.1021/ed075p1595

We do a mixture of alkanes and fatty acids that we get the students to derivatise and then identify by gcms
